Documents Required to Hire a Van
UK Driving License
PLEASE NOTE – If you have 6 points for one driving offence or more than 6 points for any other motoring offences, we will need to refer you to our insurers before you take the vehicle. Please mention any points or bans on your licence at the time of booking to avoid any hold ups. If you are under 25 years of age please see our terms and conditions.
If your driving licence has the current address on, we need 1 additional form of ID from within last 90 days.
If your driving licence does not have current address (I.E. they have moved and not had chance to change driving licence) we need 2 additional forms of ID within the last 30 days showing their current address.
If you have had more that one accident in the past 3 years or had 1 accident costing more than £5000 or had insurance refused for any reason we will need to know. Please mention this at time of booking and we can normally sort this out for you.
European Driving License
We need 1 form of ID within the last 90 days
Company Hire
We need a company letter head and your driving licence
If it’s a European licence – we don’t need any extra proof.
Nothing else is required.
Acceptable Proofs
- Bank Statement.
- Utility Bill – Gas, Electric, Water, BT Phone Bill (Not Sky, Virgin, Talk Talk etc).
- Credit Card Bill (Not Store Cards i.e. Argos, Dorothy Perkins Card).
- Payslip showing address.
- Council Tax (current year).
- Benefits Letter – Including Pension (DWP).
- Certificate (for Company Hire).
- Mortgage Confirmation and Solicitor confirmation of buying in last month

- Passport
- Mobile phone bill
- Tenancy Agreement
- Log Book or vehicle tax reminder
